Potentillas are one of a small number of bonsai varieties that bloom in summer. Upon finding that i work as a professional bonsai artist, many people will remark that they once had a bonsai, but it died and with some regret. As a deciduous shrub, i can appreciate the structure.
It does however have excellent characteristics for bonsai, with its interesting bark and fresh yellow flowers.
Potentilla, cincoenrama, cinco en rama. Potentilla, a plant that is often overlooked as a 'serious' bonsai because of its shrubby nature. Weitere ideen zu bonsai, bonsai baum, kleine bäume. I've enjoyed growing a small potentilla for the last two years.
