View Buddleja Sugar Plum Background. Buddleja can be evergreen or deciduous shrubs, occasionally trees or scrambling climbers with simple leaves and panicles of small, tubular fragrant flowers. Sugar plum buddleja produces about 25 cm long, pointed panicles of rich purple pink flowers which attract you with their colour intensity as well as strong and sweet perfume.

Individual flowers are tiny trumpets, composed in conical panicles and bloom from early july until late september. Large deep reddish purple scented flowers. Buddleja davidii 'lonplum' (sugar plum).

These look amazing when in full bloom, and will attract a wide range of butterflies to the garden.
